I got my posters back from the printer. They look super Awesome!! I’ll have them at the comic expo which is just around the corner. I’m selling them for the low low price of $10. What ever I don’t sell, I will have up on this very website. ooooo. aahhhhh. Or maybe I’ll sell all of them at the expo and then you’ll have to wait a little longer. Either way, all the profits are going to a worthwhile cause that’s very close to my heart………… ME! HAHAHA . Buttons!! Buttons …. yes. they will be here sooooon. Then you can WEAR your love for me on your person.

Every Year the Calgary Comic Expo has an Artbook that attending artists submit artwork to. This year I sent one in. Although I won’t know if I got in until last minute. ….? Or something.. The on-going theme is Western/Cowboy. I decided on an Alien Sci/Fi twist. This particular version is more appropriate than my original “Brokeback Alien” Gotta keep it clean for the kiddies right?! A few months ago started to learn digital painting and thought this would be a good project for that. this. thing. there. yeah. Sometimes sitting down in front of an unmarked sketchbook page scares the shit out of me. Especially when I’m just drawing for the sake of drawing. I’m getting help for that. I’ve found that just filling the page with some kind of pencil marks, will more often than not, turn out surprising. So, for the past few days I have just been doodling away at this sketch. It’s not for a commission. Just for fun. Kind of like when you draw on the yellow pages while you’re talking on the phone. I like how this turned out. There is a larger version of this in the sketchbook section.

I have been strictly reminded to do a post and update from my better half. I put up another BeatRoute illustration that I did last…. October? It went with an article for the Edmonton and Calgary Campus Radio stations funding drive. I’m proud to say that I made and paid my pledge for the 6th year in a row. Today I have been working on some drawings for the Comic Expo (merch type stuff). I have a couple of images for buttons and prints. Maybe a t-shirt design as well. I’ll have all this stuff up for sale if you don’t make it to the expo. beep.beep.bleep.bloop. byebye.

I’m signed up and ready to go. The Calgary Comic Expo is TWO days this year! (April 26-27) Awesome, I know. My buddy Darrell Fendick and I will have tables next door to each other. Well, its finally done. I hope you enjoy the new website. Dayna built it with PHP - so its really easy to update (even I can do it!!). It was designed by Nicolas Lypowy of The Mustache Press. You can expect regular posts from now on.
