Digital painting.  3 new ones have been added since … .. since… uh. 3 ago. Re-productions of master works. Just like I said. I’ve been finding that its a really good way to learn tonal changes and depth. I did a painting from this long since dead fella that I really like. His name was Diego Velazquez. That’s another cool thing about learning this way. I get to find about all these great dead people. dead. dead. dead.

I took everything down off my site and only put the shiny new things up. I realize that according to my new years resolution I only have another week to do another post.  My friend Keith always talks about eating a Panda burger. In the Sketchbook section I drew a Panda. This one is a mean bastard … who eats people named Keith.

The digital painting is going well.  I’ll be adding a bunch of Master Painter studies in the near future. So keep coming back and send me money.

As promised, here is post #2 for the month!! I just uploaded a hole bunch of gig posters. … Since I took my Facebook page behind the shed put it out of its misery, I have been spending more time with this site.

This year I’m going to post twice a month. … I’m not big on blogging, as you can see. I’m almost finished Lily Fawn’s CD art work. Its looking good. I’ll have that posted soon. I’m also planning to thin out my site content a bit too. It will be more digital painting and concept type work. Stay tuned. hugs.

I made a new friend. Her name is Lily Fawn. I’ll be doing a whole bunch of drawings for her solo album. She will be including a book with her cd. Its gonna be super. I show you after the cd is out. Check out her other band–> hankandlily.com.

For now, I’m all caught up on gig posters. Back to digital painting lessons. I have been collecting any and all tutorials I can about the subject. Its lots of fun. …. If only a video game company would hire me, then I could sharpen my skills to a fine point.  … hint hint.  ;)  I have been applying all over Canada this last little while. Now… the rest of the world. !!!

Once every 50,000,000 years I do my own posts. I’m still doing gig posters, which I like. I added some gig posters that I’ve done over the last few weeks. Some digital painting that’s in the sketchbook section. Later today I’ll add some concept stuff to that as well. Wish me luck.

I added 3 new posters to the gig posters section of the site. I really like making gig posters.

I have been really busy with work lately but here’s a quick update.

- I have been designing a lot of gig posters and added a new page to the site to showcase them.
- I have added some new clients to the friends section.
- I am currently working on getting my online shopping cart up and running.
- I quit smoking…. 5 days and counting.

So my ‘friend’ Nick started this site to learn how to digitally paint. Good Idea. It’s a bloggy posty community thing.

I said to him.

“Hey, why don’t you open this up to other artist instead of hogging it all to yourself? Besides, don’t you already have like, 15 websites dedicated to you. about you, and for you. by you?

He promptly told me to shut up.

Long story short. Nick has yet another site. (this one I actually go to). Its called 500 posts. I have some digital paintings up there too. If you are an artist or even not, I think it’s a great way to learn. It’s helped me quite a bit. http://500posts.com/

The comic Expo was great. Lotsa fun. I sold off a quarter of my portfolio. Thats a good thing, I’ll replace it with more current drawings. At first I was apprehensive about selling originals but reality sunk in right away as I said to myself. “RENT!, you must pay your rent”.

Wouldn’t it be super cool if you (I) could draw what you (I) wanted and it would become reality. I’d draw all my debt out the F%&^ing window. I’d draw my front teeth straight. I would draw a BIG weeping willow on my front lawn of a modest house that I owned and did not rent, and it sprouted 100 dollar bills whenever I walked by. Oh, and this tree also eats cats… and farts when door-to-door religion solicitors come by. Pet Rhinoceros , space ship, world peace… .. . .
